DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU TRULY WANT IN LIFE?

DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU TRULY WANT IN LIFE?

Have you ever asked yourself what you want in life?

We often shape our lives based on the expectations of others, leaving our dreams and desires in the background.

It's a familiar scenario. We grow up with a set of expectations, societal norms, and a predetermined path that we're encouraged to follow. Family, friends, and society all have their visions of success and fulfilment, and often, we conform to these ideals. The pressure to meet external expectations can sometimes make us forget about our authentic desires.

I personally never liked to follow what society and others expected me to be. I refuse to conform myself to living a life that does not align with my values, goals and aspirations just for the sake of having "good jobs", money or status.

At times, this can come with its challenges as others may not fully understand it, but I believe in the power we all have to create the life we really want to live.

It's time to pause and reflect: What do you truly want in life? What are your passions, dreams, and aspirations? Rediscovering yourself involves looking inward and connecting with our authentic selves.

Reflect on the following questions and write down your answers: Consider your passions and interests.

  • What brings you joy?
  • What motivates you?
  • What activities make you lose track of time?

If you had all of the time and money in the world, What would you spend your time doing?

Once you've identified your true desires, it's time to align your actions with your aspirations. This might involve stepping out of your comfort zone, redefining your goals, or making choices that may seem unconventional. However, the pursuit of your authentic dreams brings a sense of fulfilment that external validation cannot offer you.

This is when you may hear your inner voice guiding you to your authentic path.

Take time for introspection, meditation, or any activity that brings you into the present moment. This could even be sitting alone in silence with no distractions, that is enough to start if you have never practised meditation before.

If you want to try meditation, above in this post you will find one I recorded to connect with yourself. I also record short/beginner-friendly meditations.

After that introspection, take a pen and paper and write down what came to your mind, there is no right or wrong.

Get my FREE Coaching Worksheet for this exercise at the end of this post.

Write down the mental imagery you have created in your mind of the happier, more powerful, confident, healthier, and more balanced version of YOU.

Keep that paper somewhere visible and focus on visualizing this new image of yourself every day.

I hope it helps you!
